Sara Levesh Prior Hello! My name is Sara Prior, and I became a licensed Zumba instructor in August 2019. A desire for more Zumba, and to spread the positivity of Zumba is what motivated me to become an instructor. My first experience with Zumba came about a year after the birth of my second daughter when I was looking to take time for myself, and one class and I was hooked. While I said I initially did this for myself, I believe when we commit to do something to better “ourselves”, in the end, it is not just for us. For me, the mind and body benefits of Zumba allow me to function as my best self, and positively impacts all aspects and relationships in my life. There is always time for Zumba in my schedule as I balance a busy life here in Guilford where I was born, raised and currently live with my husband and two daughters, and as a Special Education teacher in Westport. Throughout my life, I played many sports, engaged in many extracurricular activities, and tried a variety of fitness programs. While I enjoyed some of these, nothing has channeled my energy and made me want to wake up early, go back out after a long day of work, and go out during the coldest, nastiest of New England weather, like Zumba! Maybe it was the formality and structure of these activities that did not appeal to young energetic me; I have always wanted to move, let go and have fun! I have found that in Zumba. In Zumba, the music excites, the positivity envelops, and the spirit of the class moves! Often I hear people say I have no dance background, to which I say “me too”, or you say “but I can’t dance” this is not the case in a Zumba class, because in Zumba you ARE A DANCER. I look forward to dancing with you to the Zumba latin rhythms, as well as hip hop songs, songs you know, and maybe an 80’s throw back! LICENSED TO TEACH: Zumba
Kendall Maloney Hi! My name is Kendall and I am a licensed STRONG by Zumba instructor, as well as a Zumba Fitness instructor. I was born in Chicago, Illinois and raised in Madison, CT. I grew up dancing and doing competitive gymnastics, in which I fell in love with team motivation and connection. I thrive off of positive relationships, and I truly believe that you are who you surround yourself with. I found that dance, gymnastics, and fitness were some of my favorite outlets to overcome lifes obstacles. Through fitness, I have found joy in making connections, as well as improving my mental and physical health; overall discovering a better version of myself. I have a very energetic personality that I release through dance and fitness. Being a mother of two, I have a hard time allowing time for myself. With Zumba, I am able to take the time for myself guilt free for exercise and a social life! Zumba fitness boosts my mood, encourages positivity, and brings me a confidence that I have never found before. I believe that you can get through absolutely everything life throws your way with the support from like minded people! I am beyond excited to share the positivity, confidence, and sense of community that I have received through STRONG by Zumba and Zumba Fitness with others! I'm ready to start training you to the beat in my STRONG by Zumba® classes! Molly Perch Clark Hello! I'm Molly Clark (ZIN Member) and I have been teaching Zumba since 2009. Teaching Zumba is not a job to me, it's my passion.
